Automotive Shop Is Having A Fund Raiser For A Client Injured In Automobile Accident
Conifer Automotive is having a rather unique fundraiser for Karen Hester, one of their client's, who was in a car on Jan 17, 2005. They will be offering oil changes (including parts and labor) to anyone who wants one, for donations only. Donations will be accepted by the Karen Hester Medical Fund at Peak National Bank, 26679 Pleasant Park Road, Conifer CO 80433. All of the supplies and manpower will be supplied at no charge. Again, the only monies Conifer Automotive will be accepting are donations to the medical fund.

They will be getting help from local people and businesses in the community. CARQUEST Corporation, as well as the locally owned CARQUEST and NAPA stores, will help by supplying oil and filters. Additional volunteers from BLS Communications, the local Rotary Club, Intermountain Fire Department, Jefferson County Road and Bridge, as well as other friends and community members will be on hand to assist with the fundraiser.Karen Hester is a client of Conifer Automotive and a member of the Conifer community. She is a very kind-hearted individual who, herself, has often volunteered her help and services for the local area. She was involved in a single-car on January 17, 2005 in Deer Creek Canyon.

The road was covered with black ice and Karen lost control of her Jeep Cherokee near the gravel pit in the lower part of the canyon. She was wearing her seatbelt, however it did not hold her securely so she was bounced around inside the vehicle. Karen sustained numerous injuries to her head and face and was knocked unconscious. From the injuries she received in the ordeal she has required reconstructive surgery and other medical attention that has been, and will continue to be, very expensive. Karen has proper auto insurance on her vehicle, but due to recent changes in Colorado, her auto insurance will not cover her medical expenses and she does not have personal medical insurance either.

This has created a great financial burden on her and because of her condition, Karen will be unable to work for quite a while. Since the she is without a vehicle to get to doctor appointments, shop for groceries, etc. With enough help, donations and exposure, this fundraiser at Conifer Automotive should be able to generate some, if not all, of the money needed for Karen's medical expenses. Again, donations may be made to the Karen Hester Medical Fund at Peak National Bank, 26679 Pleasant Park Road, Conifer CO 80433, phone 303-838-3070. Any and all help and exposure to this event will be greatly welcomed and appreciated..
